Alicia + Tyler | Gatsby Inspired Winter Wedding | Laurenda Marie Photography | Grand Rapids, MI

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful nuptials of Alicia + Tyler! I played the role of second shooter for Justin Hill at JMH Photography, and had such a blast working alongside him. Alicia and Tyler happened to pick a VERY special day for the their wedding too - February 11 - which coincidentally was my 5 year wedding anniversary! Because of these circumstances, I took off just before the reception got underway to spend some time with my husband, and Justin took over from there (thanks Justin!).

The Cheney Place hosted the entire event, and let me tell you, this venue does NOT disappoint! The building yields 3 floors of open space, exposed brick, and tons of windows! The decor is colorful, fun, and whimsical - and was such a dream to photograph! Think painted walls, chandeliers, vintage couches, funky vases, and hanging plants! Alicia's Gatsby-esque vision came to life perfectly against this back-drop.

It's always a humbling experience capturing the love of two individuals among their closest family and friends. Big Congratulations to Alicia + Tyler!
