Light & Airy Mid-Century Modern Home Office Tour

Light and Airy Mid Century Modern Home Office Tour | Girly white office | Pink and gold office | Office decorating | Laurenda Marie Photography

I was so excited that with our build, I would have a private home office that I could essentially design and decorate from scratch! I say private because my last office was a loft and I heard alllllll the noises.

We went with a transitional modern farmhouse theme for most of our home, but after putting together the details and pieces of my office space, it started to look a bit more mid-century mod to me, which I've fallen for!

I am most definitely a minimalist when it comes to styling and decorating, so you won't see a lot of "stuff" around or on the walls. I debated whether or not to hang anything above my desk, and for the time being, I love the simplicity and bareness.

The home layout we choose included 3 large windows in my office, and we added two transom windows for extra light above my desk. Speaking of my desk...isn't it beautiful?! We hired a local contractor to build us a floating desk to fit our space and I loooooooove it! It's painted Simply White by Behr Paint. My rolling chair is from Amazon - which I have two of for my 1-on-1 Mentoring Sessions! The french doors upon entry have frosted privacy glass, and I incorporated bits of pinks and golds for that girly touch. And for those curious minds, the walls are painted the color Metro by O'Leary's Paint. It's hard to find a good gray these days without a million undertones, and we really love this one! In fact, our entire house is painted this color, aside from a few darker gray accent walls.

The marble top side-table and gold desk lamp I found at Target, and the seagrass ceiling light I found at All Modern. These items bring a mid-century modern element that have stolen my heart just a bit. I brought in the outdoors and completed my cozy office space with a fiddle leaf fig tree and snake plant (of which I may not be able to keep alive. Time will tell. Any tips?!). And of course pillows. Pillows. For. Days. Give me all the pillows and blankets!!

Overall, I knew I wanted my office space to be functional, simple, a touch girly, and have tons of natural light. This office reflects my brand. I love my brand and I want to live my brand too. I would say mission accomplished!
