Colorful Woodsy Wedding at the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy | Carrie + Lucas | Bath, Michigan

Colorful Woodsy Wedding in Lansing Michigan | West Michigan Wedding Photographer

Carrie + Lucas

I think outdoor weddings are just my jam. It seems that more than half of my brides opt for outdoor ceremonies and for this, I am happy. Yes yes there is always that risk of rain, my husband and I risked that too with an outdoor ceremony, but as long as a back-up plan is in place I say GO FOR IT!

Carrie & Lucas most definitely WENT FOR IT with their outdoor ceremony at the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy and the day could not have been more beautiful. Sunny, warm…but not too warm…like the PERFECT warm if one were to exist. :)

Before we get to the scrolling, I do need to take a moment and brag on Carrie! All the florals were not only designed and assembled by her, but also GROWN by her! She included cattails and fresh basil in her arrangements too! The boutonnieres were also assembled by Carrie using feathers from a bird Lucas hunted. Loved how all the fun colors came together for this woodsy, nature-based wedding. Carrie & Luke are the epitome of outdoorsy, so the venue, florals, colors and details were more than fitting.

Carrie told me she wanted to feel like a princess on her wedding day. My opinion? Mission accomplished! Enjoy scrolling through a few of my favorites from their fun summer nuptials!
